Hear from Craig Provost, Rhode Island School of Design, about how environmental sustainability has been integrated into the industrial design curriculum using Sustainable Minds.
Sustainable Minds is an affordable, on-demand, Web-based service that combines ecodesign & LCA software, an extensive Learning Center and a knowledgeable community in one environment. It is now being used in colleges and universities around the country including RISD, Pratt, NYU, Presidio School of Management, UCLA and others. We are now offering quantity discount subscription packages so schools of all sizes can offer Sustainable Minds as a resource for all - faculty and students.
About Craig Provost
Craig spent a decade as an industrial designer and a global design manager working for Gillette. At Gillette he was immersed in dynamic innovation based culture that was driven by technology, user research, and the quest to develop the best shaving products in the world. Out of this culture and Craig's Industrial Design group came such products as the Fusion Shaving SystemTM for men which cost $500 million to develop, and made over $1 billion in less than 18 months.
Since leaving Gillette in 2008, Craig has been teaching Industrial Design at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), developed sustainable design curriculum for ID RISD. Craig works to help people use their creative energies in ways that will nourish themselves, others who are in need, and towards building a more sustainable future for coming generations.
